About Us

Sherman’s began in 1976 when Jack and Sharon Sherman opened a little one-room microwave shop in Peoria, IL. Over the years we’ve expanded to offer a full line of appliances, furniture, and mattresses through our locations in Peoria, Peoria Heights, Normal, and Peru IL.

While Sherman’s has always given back to the communities that give us so much, the Sherman Family Community Foundation was formed in 2020 to expand our efforts. Our purpose is simple- to enhance the lives of Central Illinois residents. We do this in many ways, including:

1. Providing discounted products to local schools, churches, and other charitable organizations

2. Donating complete beds to underprivileged children without a bed of their own

3. Sponsoring local youth athletics and other youth organizations

4. Supporting local benefits by donating gift cards to assist in their fundraising efforts

5. Volunteering & packing meals for our local food shelters
