If you know a child in need, nominate them below.

What they receive

A twin mattress. metal box spring bed frame, bedding, and pillow (a $1460 value) to a deserving child.

Sweet Slumber Mattress Qualifications

To nominate a deserving child in need of a bed, please review the following qualifications.

  • Must reside within the Illinois Valley Community area.

  • Underprivileged children between the ages of 3 and 16 who don't have beds.

  • Families with very low income, live in poverty or transition from homelessness or have encountered hardship/displacement.

If your request meets all of the requirements above, please submit an online application. If your request is approved, we will contact you.​

​Please explain why this child deserves a bed from the Sherman Family Community Foundation Sweet Slumber Mattress Program. For the nomination to be considered during the selection process, it is important to meet all the above qualifications. Additional nominations for the same household require another application to be filled out.
